Marlboro Boeing 757-200 Rizzi Bird

D-ABNF (MSN 25140/382)

Aircraft type: Boeing 757-200 (Boeing 757-230)

Aircraft name: Rizzi Bird

Livery: The iconic Rizzi Bird livery, designed by American pop art artist James Rizzi to mark Condor's 40th anniversary in 1996.

The aircraft was officially named Rizzi Bird, after the iconic pop art livery itself. The plane flew with this unique livery from February 1996 until early 2002.

The colorful and striking design became so popular among travelers that fans started a petition at the time to keep the look permanently.

Condor ultimately decided against this due to operational delays: passengers on the apron stood around for so long to take photos of the aircraft that it disrupted the tight flight schedules.

The aircraft itself was delivered new to Condor in July 1991 and remained in the fleet until its retirement in November 2006.
